The Yellow Tandem (Short Film)

The Yellow Tandem is about our hero, Dirk, a humble clerk who works in the city, who falls in love with a young woman of his dreams, Clara but reaches an impasse in his life when she doesn’t even notice him. He decides to get a life and do something new and different. That’s when he buys a bright yellow tandem, even though he has never ridden a bicycle in his life. He starts to teach himself to ride on his way to and from work each day. During this journey of self-improvement he faces a number of hurdles and eventually conquers the tandem. Then one day he sees Clara at the bus stop, waiting for her bus. He decides to offer her a lift. At first she thinks he is mad. Soon she becomes sure of it as he adopts a tenacious persistence in offering her a lift morning and evening, rain or shine. Then one day he tries something new…
